BIO

Siraj is a director whose career spans commercials, documentaries, music videos, VR games and 360 films. From visually compelling imagery, to quirky comedy, and immersive experiences, Siraj is always exploring innovative ways to capture the imagination of his viewers.

A graduate of Fine Art from the Rhode Island School of Design, Siraj started his career at MTV in the vaunted on-air promotions department in New York City. In 1997, Siraj was sent to India to launch MTV India where his image campaigns won numerous international awards.

By 2001 Siraj was focused on television commercial advertising for the international market working with some of the most prestigious advertising agencies around the globe. His unique perspective led him to work for Coca Cola, Ford, HSBC, Kraft, Nikon, Nokia, Sony, and Unilever to name a few.

 

In 2017 Siraj won the prestigious Silver Dolphin at Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards for his directing of the Abu Dhabi Plan film. Other awards and nominations include; American Film Institute, Asia Apollo Award, New York Festival Award, London FAB Awards, BDA’s (Broadcast Design Awards), Excellence Award from the Clinton Administration and Best New Director Award from Saatchi and Saatchi. Siraj’s work has also been featured in Boards Magazine, Creative Magazine, Surface Magazine and Shots.

Over his 26 year directing career Siraj has had the opportunity to work with a unique range of international celebrities such as Mike Myers, Ngô Thanh Vân, My Tam, Pham Huong, My Linh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Eason Chan and Alanis Morrissette.

Siraj works world wide and currently resides in New York and Dubai.
